The Grand Auditorium is an original Taylor design that was introduced in 1994. It is one of Taylor’s most popular and versatile body shapes, due to producing an original acoustic voice that is big enough to handle medium-strength picking and strumming. It features an impressive balance across the tonal spectrum, especially in the midrange, producing clear, well-defined notes that suited both strumming and fingerstyle playing. Venetian Cutaway

The 214ce Acoustic Guitar's Venetian Cutaway is renowned for its soft, round lines, creating a visually stunning look that is recognisable on any body. This type of cutaway allows easier access to the upper frets for a comfortable play, and enables you with more freedom throughout the fingerboard.

Sitka Spruce and Maple

The Taylor 214ce-QM DLX features a beautiful sitka spruce top and offers a broad dynamic range with a crisp articulation. Sitka spruce is the most commonly used wood for guitar tops as it generates a broad dynamic range and accommodates numerous playing styles, from aggressive strumming to fingerpicking. This stunning tonewood is contrasted with veneers of quilted maple back and sides, delivering a bright acoustic sound with added warmth, richness and sustain. Forward-Shifted Pattern Bracing

A significant factor behind the incredible sound of the 214ce-QM Deluxe is the forward shifted bracing pattern, which allows the tonewoods to vibrate naturally, creating incredible depth and complexity. The 'x' in the bracing pattern is moved closer to the soundhole, enabling the top of the acostuic guitar to to vibrate more, delivering maximum tonal quality and projection. It also features Taylor's relief rout, which is a tone-enhancing voicing technique in which a groove is carved along the inside edges of the top, resulting in an increased bass and volume with a balanced tone.

Expression System 2 Electronics

The guitar not only boasts stunning tonewoods and craftsmanship, but also features Taylor's expression system 2. Equipped with a saddle pickup that features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors, the system provides a dynamic range of acoustic sound that captured the essence of the guitar's natural tone.
