Designed with a pristine sounding Class-A FET amplifier, the Tritonaudio BigAmp Piëzo provides +3dB of clean amplification with a low impedance. The signal amplification is kept to a low +3dB in order to allow for the highest possible headroom. Meaning your instrument will stay clear of any undesirable clipping or distortion. The output signal of your instrument will convert from an unbalanced to a balanced signal. The balanced output buffer reveals every detail and nuance in your performance and offers higher fidelity of sound than a conventional instrument cable. This is an invaluable tool for the everyday musician, looking to improve the quality of their instrument signal for a cleaner performance that can convey your music as it was intended.
Keep your carry weight light for portability when it's needed most. The Big Amp Piëzo is not much larger than a normal XLR Cable end, making it the ideal choice for those who need to travel regularly for live shows and events. The convenient size means you could simply keep the Big Amp Piëzo in your instrument case or gigbag. The Big Amp Piëzo makes it more convenient than ever to carry around your own high-quality DI with you everywhere you go.
The Big Amp Piëzo has a 1/4" female jack input which accepts signals from both normal instrument outputs and piezo transducers. A piezo transducer typically has an impedance of several megaohms, which is much higher compared to the high-Z input of instrument preamps or mixing consoles. This prevents the transducer to deliver its potential output signal to the preamp and restricts transient response. Additionally, the high impedance combined with the capacity of the cable to the preamp forms a low pass filter, making a piezo transducer often sound uninspiring.
The TritonAudio BigAmp Piezo is specially designed to overcome the typical issues associated with Piezo pickups. The 7.5 megaohm input Impedance enables the piezo transducer to deliver its full signal potential, allowing for a more sharp transient response and frequency range. This is ideal for those who play solo acoustic gigs and use their acoustic guitar as a percussive instrument. You will hear a new depth and clarity to your percussion along with a more rich and full-bodied sounding guitar. Because of its small size, BigAmp Piezo can be connected as close to the transducer as possible which keeps cable capacitance to a minimum.
