Leslie West USA DMT P-90 Pickup

The Leslie West Standard delivers a high-output vintage tone thanks to the custom designed USA DMT P-90. Designed by Dean in collaboration with Leslie West, the Mountain Of Tone features an alnico 5 magnet and single conductor cable to deliver a high output tone with shining harmonics and gritty mid-range. When used in conjunction with the volume and tone controls, it can offer a surprisingly versatile tonal range; especially when played through a nicely overdriven valve amplifier, where you can back off the volume for a pseudo-clean sound and then roll it back up for your lead tones. This guitar is designed to offer a simple tonal solution for the rock musician who likes to use their guitar controls to sculpt their final tone.

The Leslie West Signature guitar is constructed in the classic single-cutaway design and features a vintage-inspired sunburst paint finish. It offers classic good looks with the playability that Dean is known for, with a set-in neck giving a smooth left hand feel for traversing the neck and a comfortable bevelled body. With this guitar, classic looks meets modern playability to give you a high performing rock machine.

About Leslie West

Born in 1945, Leslie West is an American rock guitarist of the band Mountain. Having released 8 studio albums and 3 live albums throughout his career Leslie West is an extremely experienced musician who helped shape the face of hard rock music during the 70s. Having achieved their highest commercial success in 1970 with the track "Mississippi Queen" mountain remain active to this day and although having favoured Gibson guitars in the past Leslie now has an endorsement with Dean Guitars.
