Loaded with two EMG 707 pickups in the neck and bridge position, the pickups are the leading 7-string guitar pickup since they were released in 2001. The EMG 707 remove the problem of a muddy low B string which usually lacks rich harmonic character and definition. With its alnico 5 magnets and wide aperture coils, the EMG pickups are able to beef up the low B string tone while keeping a balanced and articulate upper register.

This guitar represents Rusty Cooley's unique take on the 7-string shred guitar, and is specified to provide a fast playing experience with a powerful range of balanced tones throughout its entire melodic range. It packages this in an effortlessly cool design with a stunning flamed maple top and unique "Xenocide" fingerboard inlays. Here is a guitar with a powerful 7-string extended voice and excellent playability and comfort.
Unique Neck Specifications For Playability
The Rusty Cooley signature guitar features a unique D profile specified by Rusty to match his hand and technique. It includes 25 1/2 frets which gives you an extended range over usual guitars, and you can access all the upper frets easily with the body's deep asymmetric double cutaway and low profile neck joint. The frets are jumbo which allows easier bending and string vibrato, while the radius is a particularly flat 16" radius enabling greater string-crossing ease. This is a fast playing neck which will provide an effortless and controlled playing experience.
Floyd Rose and Grover Tuners
This guitar features a double locking Floyd Rose tremolo system enabling extreme whammy-bar effects with a reliable return-to-pitch after use. The Grover machineheads allow accurate tuning and the locked-in string design means that, once tuned, you'll have a reliable and stable tuning performance.
