The G9231's Square Neck is perfect for lap position slide technique, with its higher nut and raised action. The G9231 Electro-Acoustic Bobtail Steel features the Gretsch Ampli-Sonic "spider" cone diaphragm (resonator cone) which is hand-spun in Eastern Europe from 99 percent pure aluminium. This creates the resonator's distinct metallic overtones and delta-blues sound. It is mounted to a steel body and will impress your audience with a sweet quality of tone at cutting volumes. The mahogany neck and katalox fingerboard provide additional sustain and dark resonance. If you're familiar with the delta-blues sound, this guitar will allow you to recreate it in a powerful and authentic way.

Ready For The Stage

The G9231 Bobtail includes Fishman's Nashville series pickup to provide you with authentic delta-blues tones in an amplified environment. The pickup offers clear and accurate tone which suits modern signal chains, including direct recording or stage performances. Although the Bobtail is already a loud acoustic instrument, the pickup system will let you take that tone onto the stage when you need the added volume to compete in a loud environment.
