The Ibanez RGAIX7U is designed for effortless playability, making it ideal for metal. It offers a neck specification aimed at high-performance, speed and comfort. It features a Nitro Wizard-7 neck that is super-thin and ultra-playable, whilst also providing durability. The fretboard features 24 jumbo frets, providing you with a wide tonal range. The neck joint has also been tucked in at the bottom to allow you to shred through those solos with ease. The Gibraltar Standard II bridge helps provide optimal transfer of each string's vibration. The Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads offer incredible tuning stability, and allow for quick, efficient string changes. The coil tap switch allows you to change between a pickups full output for a more modern voice, or a lower output for a more vintage-like tone.
The guitar has an excellent neck joint that allows for easy high-note shredding. The maple neck offers a rounded tone and helps keep things tight and bright, whilst the ebony fretboard provides a smooth, dense playing surface that produces a tight low-end with the quick response that is perfect for metal.
