The Ibanez Talman TMB100 looks back to Ibanez's classic instrument back-catalogue, and it features a vintage-inspired design for an effortlessly cool aesthetic. The Talman body shape has an offset design and is topped with a tortoiseshell-coloured pickguard and classic Talman hardware. This is a guitar that will really stand out on stage.
The headstock has an older Ibanez design and logo, helping give the impression that this guitar was made decades ago. A gloss-finished neck also adds to the vintage looks and the feel of this instrument.
The TMB100 is loaded with a Dynamix P middle-position pickup and a Dynamix J bridge-pickup position. This allows you to get sound of several classic bass guitar pickup designs, with the punchy mid-range focus from a split-coil pickup and the mid-scooped sound from a bar-type design.
The two pickups can be blended in incremental amounts, so you can create your ideal balance and cover almost any genre of music.
In addition to the versatile Dynamix pickups, the TMB100 is loaded with a 2-band active EQ which lets you sculpt the treble and bass-frequencies. The battery power means that you can boost and cut each frequency range for a wide set of additional tones.
The dual concentric controls make adjustments quick and easy, while retaining the minimalist design of a vintage instrument. With the versatile EQ, twin pickup designs and the blend control, you can sculpt your tone for any playing technique and adapt the sound for slap styles, chordal playing, soloing, low-range riffing, and all manner of musical genres.
A solid poplar body gives the TMB100 a versatile and lightweight functionality, while the maple neck creates additional bright overtones and a high degree of resonance. The jatoba fingerboard is a dense tonewood that assists with low-end articulation for a fast-attack during complex playing, while the neck features a gloss-finished back giving you an authentic vintage playing feel.
The neck is medium-thick and has a medium-round profile fingerboard with 22 medium frets, all of which adds to the vintage playing feel. A stable B10 bridge gives you a solid platform and allows you to adjust each string's intonation and action.
