The MP8D delivers the perfect balance between natural sounding analog warmth and digital clarity. With Antelope's infamous Acoustically Focused Clocking jitter management technology and the Over-Controlled crystal oscillator, the MP8D delivers the best possible audio quality available with world class A/D conversion. Additionally the preamp features advanced analog and digital circuitry powered by the proprietary power supply. The sound produced is rich and sonically transparent with 8 pristine microphone preamplifiers delivering the best possible audio reproduction available.

Extensive Connectivity

The microphone preamps featured in this unit are combo XLR/TRS connectors, allowing you to connect both mic and line level signals. As well as the standard microphone connections, the MP8d features Hi-Z inputs dedicated to channels 1 and 2, accessible via the dedicated TRS connectors located on the front panel. The D-Sub 25 connector allows you to output the mic signals at line level, giving you the ability to connect various external analog devices. You can also use the MP8d to monitor your input signals through the dedicated high-end headphone amplifier, accessible from the front panel. As well as a myriad of analog inputs the MP8d also features a range of digital connectivity for added convenience. The digital connectors include: S/PDIF, AES?EBU, TOSLINK, ADAT and MADI connections, allowing you to use your preamp in conjunction with other digital devices as well as your selected DAW.

Software Control

One of the most unique features of this preamplifier is the external software interface that allows you to control, tweak and edit parameters on the MP8d via your computer. The intuitive computer interface includes colour-coded drag and drop signal routing, powerful DSP engine with on-board effects and multiple mixers allowing you to change settings to suit your project and sound. You can also program presets that allow you to recall setting configurations at the touch of a button.
