The DW Drums Collector's Acoustic EQ Snare is a unique snare, both in terms of design and overall sound and performance. The snare packs in a wealth of high-end components, including an advanced 3P (three position) butt plate and delta ball-bearing throw off for easy and effective alterations of your snare tension, with True-Hoop 3.0mm triple flanged hoops and True-Pitch tension rods for a reliable drumming experience and a sound which remains perfectly tuned throughout your performances. Advanced Selectable EQ Venting System

The DW Acoustic EQ Snare takes on an innovative approach to snare adjustments and customisation, offering a selectable EQ venting system which allows you to variably control the amount of air leaving the drum through a series of gates around the shell. The system is controlled through two adjustable metal handles found on the side of the snare. They can be partially or fully opened to your preference, and both operate independently for more precise tuning alterations. With the vents open, you can expect snare wire crackle with a crisp and punchy sound, while closing them results in a more focused, fatter low-end. Progressively closing the vents allows you to customise the amount of mid-range focus and control to best suit the rest of your mix. Not only does the EQ’s venting system drastically affect the sound, but also the feel and response of the snare as a whole.
