The Signature Bass has a semi-hollow body constructed from high quality Mahogany to produce powerful tones. Its semi-hollow design allows the bass to resonate, create a thick, deep tone that can articulate each note. The Mahogany body offers naturally rich, warm tones, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood provides the guitar with an excellent amounts of depth and helps produce an incredible sustain. Designed with chrome hardware, and a WSC TH4D bridge, the Schecter is given a gloss black finish For a stylishly sleek look.
The Maple neck gives the guitars tone some tightness and cut, providing an edge of sizzle to the highs and firmness to its lows. The Maple wood provides bright characteristics to the overall tone, whilst offering a snappy attack in the midrange. Adding a Rosewood fingerboard helps to fur up to the Maple’s sound, whilst contributing to its smoothness. The Rosewood/Maple combination brings warmth to the guitars tone, adding sparkle to the highs, thickness to the lows, and opens up the mids. The guitar also comes with many other features including Grover Vintage tuners and crème dot inlays with dUg at the 12th fret.
Featured on the Signature bass is a single Pro Active P-Bass pickup from Seymour Duncan, boasting a wide tonal range thanks to its ceramic magnets. As a modern take on the P-bass pickup, the Pro Active is given a modern look and voicing to produce a higher output and more punch. Offering a Sharp attack, the pickup features and aggressive feel to its tone, whilst its response makes it excellent for fingerstyle players. Seymour Duncan based their P-bass pickup on their old active EQ switch pickup, deciding to choose the most popular switch setting and hard wiring it into the pickup for more convenience.
