Ultra-precise supercardioid polar pattern

Cardioid polar patterns are perfect for a huge range of recording and reinforcement uses. With more sensitivity at the front of the microphone and significantly less at the sides and rear, a cardioid pattern reduces the capture of ambient noise and unwanted sound sources. Supercardioid takes that even further, providing even more isolation of your sound source with a much tighter directional pickup angle. This powerful pattern is ideal for live performances and studio recording, be it spoken-word, vocals, instrumentation and more. The narrow angle of sensitivity minimizes bleed from other sources, capturing only what you want to be heard.

High-end MMP-A preamplifier

The MMP-A is a transformerless solution with ultra-transparent performance and Active Drive technology for impedance balancing. This high-end preamp can be combined with any of DPA's microphone capsules for incomparable sound quality and simple operation. Featuring a dynamic range of 138dB, the MMP-A provides a wide range of usability for flexible operation. The MMP-A boasts a switchable attenuation pad, allowing you to lower the output of the microphone by 20dB (switching back to 0dB bypasses the attenuator). This handy preamp allows you to get the best out of your microphone with ease thanks to DPA's intelligent modular system.
