Sporting the familiar two-input layout, the Black Lion Auteur has matured for version three, offering the same ultra-fast response, tight low-end control and neutral response but with a slew of internal upgrades to make this the best incarnation yet. A combination of old and new, the Auteur MK3 employs a modern front-end for clean and precise gain with no added noise and a vintage-inspired output stage with Cinemag transformers. When put together, this creates a larger-than-life sound that brings liveliness to any instrument to help you achieve the professional standard of mixing you need to get your music heard.

Continuing the legacy, the Auteur MK3 provides the perfect balance between vintage grit and warmth with modern-day sheen. Using powerful ultra-high-speed IC-based front inputs, the MK3 can deliver up to +62dB of clean gain with virtually no noise, even at ultra-high settings. The extended frequency response and revamped gain stage all help to contribute to the stellar audio quality the Auteur MK3 produces. Providing grit and colour to any input, the Black Lion Audio Auteur MK3 Preamp also includes built-in Phantom Power for connecting studio-grade condenser microphones.

The Black Lion Audio Auteur MK3 includes an XLR microphone input as well as TRS Line inputs, making it ideal for a range of audio sources. The Auteur MK3 is perfect for a range of recording applications from drums and electric guitars to vocal performances and more. Doubling as a Hi-Z input, the front TRS input is perfect for capturing the perfect electric guitar D.I performance. The revamped gain stage also ensures lower noise and lower distortion for optimal audio quality and performance value. In addition to being the perfect companion for dynamic and ribbon microphones, the built-in Phantom Power is perfect for use with your favourite studio condenser microphone. The MK3 Auteur preamp also includes a Phase Switch and a 10dBU pad for added convenience.
