Often when starting your sessions, the hardest part is finding the creative spark that sets you on your journey. With Melody Sauce, you can cut through creative roadblocks to start and finish your tracks quicker than ever before without wasting precious time in the studio. For beginners, Melody Sauce can serve as the sole creator of your melodic passage in your music, set by your own parameters to inject the musical vocabulary you might not be able to express into your music. For professionals, Melody Sauce is an ideal jumping-off platform, where you may know the key and mood you are trying to convey, but may struggle with the groove and rhythmic timing of the notes in your melody.

The simple and intuitive controls have been labeled with musical terminology to avoid any difficult to understand concepts. This ensures that musicians of any level can enjoy creating melodies without any restriction. The left-hand panel of EVAbeat Melody Sauce is where you will input your user parameters to determine the style of your melody. Here you will input the key, set the speed between Slow and Fast, add in Swing or Syncopation as well as control whether your melody will be in Triplets or not. Once done, using the nine control pads in the middle you will instantly create a melody that’s curated for you. It's never been this easy to create stellar melodies for your music.

Unlimited melodies, unique to you

Where others may present to you a pre-planned course of melodies and phrases to choose from, Melody Sauce creates new melodies based on your parameters and is not simply a pre-programmed plug-in. Designed from the ground up, Melody Sauce uses complex internal algorithms and intuitive controls to produce unique sequences of MIDI melodies for your projects. Every time you generate a MIDI melody, the pattern is unique and based on the parameters that you set, giving each project, song or setlist an individual flavour that will complement the emotion.

Although every melody may be unique, you can save your melodies into the Melody Bank to return to in other projects, turbocharging your creative process. Simply drag and drop your saved melodies into your project to become more time-efficient in your sessions. The advantage of Melody Sauce over sample packs is that it creates MIDI information that you drag and drop into your DAW. This MIDI performance generator can be used on any virtual instrument in your DAW, allowing you to change the sound of any instrument on the fly. Now, instead of being limited by the sample in your pack, you choose whether your melody is played on a piano, vintage analog synthesizer, strings or whatever other instruments you may have in your software. Of course, each MIDI performance will tempo-sync to your DAW automatically, so there's no complicated time-stretching involved when moving between projects.

Mood and complexity settings

Giving you complete control over your melodies, Melody Sauce offers Mood and Complexity settings to customise the notes in your phrase. The Mood controls include Light and Dark, and Complexity controls include Simple and Complex. These are useful ways to determine beginner to intermediate musical factors such as Major or Minor notes in a key. Customising this will give your melody a unique flavour depending on the input of your parameters on the main control layout of the plug-in.

You can continuously audition new melodies whilst your song is playing by repeatedly pressing the creator pads, giving you a way to determine what Mood and Complexity settings your melody should be.
