The NVELOPE-500 is a flexible dynamics processor that can change the character of a sound by altering its impulse structure. Drums can be made punchier, slap bass can be made more aggressive, or even guitars and piano can be tamed. An instrument or reverb tail can also be made tighter, or more depth can be added. NVELOPE-500 features three different functional modes that give you the flexibility to tweak your sound to perfection. Full Range mode can be used for when you want to reshape tones quickly and efficiently. The attack and sustain intensity of a signal can be increased or decreased quickly and easily with only two controllers. Dual Band mode is similar to Full Range but instead offers more tweakability by assigning the attack and sustain controls to individual frequency selectors. In this mode parameters become more flexible. Essentially, Dual Band mode gives you more distinct processing options and the possibility to cope with complex material like a summing bus. The final EQ mode turns the NVELOPE-500 into a two-band EQ with high and low shelving. The two channels can be used as two individual EQs simultaneously, but they can be linked for processing stereo material as well.
Just in case any unwanted side effect, distortion, or sudden volume peaks occur, the NVELOPE-500 handles this with its Auto Gain function that compensates and gets your level right. When you boost your attack in the Full Range mode it can occasionally result in some huge level peaks, making your audio sound uneven. Conveniently, this simple button can control all of this by automatically compensating for stronger level peaks.
The NVELOPE-500 can operate in both dual mono and linked stereo in Full Range, Dual Band and EQ mode for flexibility. In Dual Mono mode you can process a kick drum and snare on separate channels at the same time. You can tweak your synth in stereo mode while adjusting a different EQ on each side for punch, detail and width. When the NVELOPE-500 is not in stereo link mode, the two individual channels can be used as different processors simultaneously. NVELOPE-500 provides a large number of possibilities for tweaking and fine tuning your sound.
The NVELOPE-500 features a complete audio path that runs constantly in class-A mode, giving it an exceptionally transparent, wide and open sound. This discrete approach allows Elysia to design every single stage in signal processing. Original circuitry has been specially designed to deliver outstanding clarity. It constantly operates in permanent class-A mode, removing any crossover distortion and keeping the sound character wide, open and transparent.
