Realistic reverb convolution impulses
Revolv by Klevgrand lets you immerse your audio in the echoes of culturally and historically rich locations. By leveraging impulse responses from unique real-world spaces in modern and historic Sweden like the medieval Gotland ruins and Uppsala Cathedral, Revolv gives your mix a sense of depth and authenticity that’s hard to find elsewhere. Whether you want to recreate the ambience of a tranquil forest or the reverberations of an ancient structure, Revolv's diverse IR library captures the essence of these environments, making it an essential tool for anyone looking to add a distinctive touch to their sound.
Preserving the past
The creation of Revolv is rooted in the passion and dedication of sound designer Oscar Björk, who meticulously recorded the acoustic fingerprints of various locations across Sweden in his project "Echoes of Our Time". His dedication to preserving these unique sonic environments has resulted in a plugin that offers an extraordinary collection of impulse responses. Each IR reflects Oscar's deep appreciation for Sweden's acoustic heritage, bringing a unique and personal touch to every reverb effect you create with Revolv.
Find your sound, fast
Revolv features a unique interface design centred around its "location wheels" and loupe selector. This intuitive interface allows you to easily switch between different reverb environments by simply moving the selector around the wheels. Each location offers detailed customization options, letting you adjust parameters like decay, pre-delay, and width, and fine-tune your reverb with choices for microphone preference and recording distance. With six wheels representing different groups of locations, you have access to a wide range of acoustic spaces, from quirky and rare to grand and epic.
Meticulously-recorded impulses, no AI
Revolv sets itself apart with its commitment to authentic, hand-recorded impulse responses, steering clear of AI-generated sounds. This ensures that the reverb you add to your projects is as true to life as possible, preserving the natural acoustics of the recorded spaces. This authenticity is especially valuable in fields like film and video game sound design, where realistic space replication is crucial. Despite the resource-intensive nature of convolution reverb, Revolv is engineered for efficiency, delivering high-quality reverb effects while maintaining smooth performance.
