Traverse everything from Soft and Deep to help fit the pocket of a jazz groove, leaving space for a soloing piano or guitar or jump into Hard and Tight characteristics to help punch through a vintage hip-hop beat. Controlling the overall timbre of your instrument is the Position dial that seamlessly blends between neck and bridge plucking techniques. Regardless of what microphone or character parameters you have selected, the position of your hand when playing an upright bass determines the overall tonal quality of your sound. Move the position towards the neck for a more rounded and soft tone that's ideal for laying back in the groove or pluck towards the bridge to add punch and midrange that's perfect for walking up the fretboard.
